Come Discover a One - Week Program

at Brookwoods and Deer Run for 8-10 year olds!

This summer Brookwoods and Deer Run are welcoming new campers into The Explorer Club.   While we know that campers will love their time at camp, we are always looking for ways to make the transition easier for first-timers.  The Explorer Club is a new way for first-time campers to “dip their toes into the water” and experience camp life.   This program provides eight to ten-year-olds the opportunity to join the Brookwoods and Deer Run family without having to spend a full two weeks away from Mom and Dad.  These campers will get to engage in classic camp activities like an overnight on Plum Island, a hike to the Treehouse, and exciting activities like rocketeering, canoeing, and archery.  Meanwhile campers, and camper parents, can ease themselves into the commitment of a future two-week session at camp.
