The Exodus Program - Information

The Program for 2008 starts on Sunday, July 6th and ends on Saturday, July 12th. All participants should arrive at camp not before 1 P.M. and not after 5 P.M. on July 6th. If you choose, we can meet your child at Logan Airport in Boston, or Manchester Airport in New Hampshire, on flights arriving 11 A.M. - 5 P.M.  There is a $40 fee per participant, each way, for this service.

All Participants Should Be Picked Up between 9 A.M. and 11 A.M. on Saturday, July 12th. If you choose, we can transport your child to Logan Airport in Boston, or Manchester Airport in New Hampshire, for flights departing 11 A.M. - 5 P.M. on the 12th.   There is a $40 fee per participant, each way, for this service.

Participants should be at least 16 years of age to attend Exodus, and they can attend through age 19.    The program will give first enrollment priority to those who are starting college or university in September 2008.  Others starting college in future years, or already attending will be admitted as space is available.

A Handbook with information about clothing needs, transportation, medical forms, housing and motels will be mailed upon receipt of the application and fees.

Camp Store. Clothing, souvenirs, candy, soda, slushies and postcards will be available for purchase at the camp store.

Early Departures, Dismissals, Arrivals. There are no reductions from the fee for a participant arriving late or leaving early. Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. reserves the right to dismiss, without refund, any participant whose influence is not positive. Non-prescription drugs, gambling, use of alcohol or tobacco are strictly prohibited. Violation of these prohibitions constitute grounds for dismissal. Likewise the camp reserves the right to decline the application of any participant who, according to the Directors discretion, is not a desirable associate for other participants. Parents accept these conditions in signing the application.

Health Form.  All participants are required to have a physical examination prior to arrival certifying that they are free from communicable diseases and are physically able to participate in a camp program. The medical form will be provided as part of the Handbook, and the exam must be conducted within the 12 months prior to their arrival.

General Policies.  Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. has policies instituted to help each participant derive as much as possible from his or her experience. In order for our staff to give your child the individual attention to which he or she is entitled, we have set our standards high. We have found through many summers that by asking our parents to cooperate, each Exodus participant will have a better experience, no one will feel that he or she is being denied privileges or granted privileges, and our time and efforts will be devoted to the participant’s health, good programming and general welfare. Your cooperation with our policies and procedures will be deeply appreciated.

Participant’s Belongings.  All articles, including shoes and athletic equipment, must be marked with the participant’s name. Every season, good clothes are left lying around camp. Every effort is made to send home personal belongings with your child. Participants are urged to keep track of their belongings.  Please refrain from bringing expensive clothes.  As well, do not send your child with a cell phone, iPod, or knife as there is no need.  We will not accept responsibility for lost or stolen articles.   Unclaimed clothing will be donated to a charitable organization 30 days after the close of the summer.

Luggage. We strongly recommend that parents purchase duffel bags for belongings rather than footlockers. Duffel bags can be stored easily, are easy to pack and handle.

Tuition for 2008 is $225 and is required with application to The Exodus Program. Exodus tuition covers all the usual expenses, with exceptional services noted. Included are: registration, the program, room and board and snacks, overnights and day trips, and canoe trips.

International Families should contact the Camp prior to sending in their application for The Exodus Program. Participants must have enough English language skills to allow for a safe and responsive experience while attending.

Overnight trips are included in the basic tuition, and all are expected to participate in these activities with their cabin group.

Refund Policy. Tuition is refundable only if the camper is excused for a medical reason.
