| Christian Camps and Conferences, Inc. announces the hiring of Craig Boronow to be the Associate Director of Camping Ministries. In this position, Craig will be the Director of the summer program at Great Adventures at Moose River Outpost as well other off-season responsibilities for the organization’s other two camps, Brookwoods and Deer Run. Craig has several years of experience in Christian camping, directing Camp Squanto in Swanzey New Hampshire, and serving as the Assistant Director of Wild West Camp, a ministry operated by CitiVision Ministries. In many respects, Craig is coming “home” as he attended Camp Brookwoods for several years as a youth. Craig also attended Deerfoot Lodge in New York and worked on the staff at Deerfoot during the summer months when he was attending Wheaton College in Illinois. Executive Director, Bob Strodel say that “we are thrilled that someone of Craig’s experience and love for the Lord will be providing leadership to the continued development of Moose River Outpost.” Craig and his wife Michelle are relocating to the Lakes Region of New Hampshire and he started his new duties on April 1st. Craig says that “ as an individual whose faith was formed in the context of Christian camping at Brookwoods and elsewhere, I can not overstate my excitement at joining the Christian Camps and Conferences team. I believe that when we act as loving and responsible leaders and bring relevant scriptural teaching to the dramatic backdrop of the outdoors, the Holy Spirit moves and campers lives are changed. I am a product of such leadership and to pass on that gift is a calling that I cherish.” Great Adventures at Moose River Outpost is located on 7,000 acres in Maine and enjoys a wilderness setting that is unmatched by any Christian camp in New England.
